Recent advances on modeling of solar heterogeneous photocatalytic reactors applied for degradation of pharmaceuticals and emerging organic contaminants in water

چکیده

A short critical review of the state-of-the-art and emerging trends on mathematical modeling heterogeneous photocatalytic solar reactors, applied for degradation contaminants (EC) in water, is presented. The discusses key aspects about EC reaction kinetics, artificial radiation emission models, absorption-scattering models evaluation radiant field large-scale photoreactors, based radiation-assisted photocatalysis. It includes perspectives to aid implementation full-scale treatment water by main factors that need be further developed are: (i) incorporation impact matrix kinetics models; (ii) influence hydrodynamics photoreactor; (iii) optimum design criteria photoreactors related a wide spectrum photocatalysts; (iv) transient reactor taking into account daily hourly fluctuations temperature irradiation; (v) open-access software wider dissemination photoreactor procedures.
